WMA Membership
All are welcome to join the Washington Museum Association. Membership supports the mission of WMA and entitles individuals, organizations and businesses to special benefits. The Washington Museum Association programs a wide range of programs and services for its members including:

• An Annual WMA Meeting and Conference for exchange of ideas.
• The sponsoring of workshops on museum topics.
• The Awards and Scholarships program recognizing excellence in the field and promoting professional development.
• Representation in regional and national museum associations.
• The Museum Directory of Washington State listing museums and museum-related organizations, contacts and suppliers. This directory is provided online, and has been made available in printed form every few years.
• A network of people dedicated to museum advocacy, professional standards, clear communication, education, and diversity.

Members at the Individual, Student & Senior Level receive:

• Museum Messenger - a quarterly newsletter with articles, reports, news from around the state, event calendars and job listings.
• E-MESSENGER Internet news on important legislative issues, updates, job listings and other current topics important to the museum community.
• WMA conference admission for the registered individual at the special WMA member rate, plus voting privileges in electing the Board and setting WMA direction.

Members at the Institutional Level receive:

• Museum Messenger - a quarterly newsletter with articles, reports, news from around the state, event calendars and job listings.
• E-MESSENGER Internet news on important legislative issues, updates, job listings and other current topics important to the museum community.
• Voting privileges in electing the Board and setting WMA direction.
• WMA conference admission for two people at the special WMA member rate.
• WMA Website Directory benefits including a hyperlink to your institutional website, WMA Member Logo, institutional logo*, and hours and admission information.
• Identification in the Museum Directory of Washington State as a WMA member.**
• 10% discount of rental fees for Exhibit Touring Services exhibitions.

* To include your institutional logo in the website directory, contact museum@washingtonstatemuseums.org.
** An updated printed directory is made available every few years.

Members at the Commercial/Business Level receive:

• Museum Messenger - a quarterly newsletter with articles, reports, news from around the state, event calendars and job listings.
• E-MESSENGER Internet news on important legislative issues, updates, job listings and other current topics important to the museum community.
• 1/8 page ad in Museum Directory of Washington State.
